During my training, I analyzed water treatment processes, especially in boiler feed water and demineralization systems. I learned how these systems support plant operations by providing clean water and protecting equipment. I focused on checking the efficiency of the resin in the Anion Exchanger. I found the cause of ion leakage and performance loss, such as worn-out resin and less effective regeneration cycles. I suggested improvements like replacing the resin and adjusting the regeneration process. I also wrote a technical report with my findings and recommendations to help increase the system’s efficiency.
This experience gave me practical knowledge in process engineering and helped me improve my problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Instrumentation Analysis and Materials analysis Laboratory Assistant Chemical Engineering Departement Universitas Syiah Kuala • Part Time
I was actively involved in supporting the daily operations of the Materials Analysis Laboratory. My responsibilities included helping manage the lab environment and ensuring everything was well-prepared for student practicum activities. I played an important role in assisting over 100 students during their practicum sessions, specifically in the experiment on determining the acidity and alkalinity of solutions using a pH meter. I guided them before and during the practicum to make sure they followed the correct procedures and understood the purpose of the experiment.
In addition, I was responsible for checking and preparing all necessary lab tools and materials before each session. This included making sure the pH meters, glassware, and chemical solutions were in good condition and ready to use. I also collaborated with five lecturers in evaluating and scoring student worksheets after each practicum. This task required accuracy and attention to detail to ensure that each student received fair and consistent feedback.
Through this experience, I developed strong teamwork, communication, and laboratory management skills, while also gaining a deeper understanding of laboratory practices and student supervision.

Research Assistant of Materials analysis Laboratory Chemical Engineering Departement Universitas Syiah Kuala • Part Time
I was involved in planning, developing, and carrying out a lecturer-led project focused on raw material modifications for composite board production. The goal of this project was to improve the performance and quality of the final composite product through better selection and treatment of raw materials. In addition, I supported the research laboratory leader by assisting in managing the financial aspects of the project. I also helped provide research guidance to four junior team members, ensuring they stayed on track with their tasks and understood the project goals. This experience helped me build teamwork, leadership, and research coordination skills.
