1. Conduct comprehensive observations at the 1B ammonia plant, covering all stages of ammonia
production—from raw material processing to the final product—while gaining a detailed understanding of the chemical reactions involved and the role of each component. Additionally, reviewed various equipment
and components used in the factory to ensure proper functionality and compliance with operational standards.
2. Conduct an analysis of the amount of CO2 emissions emitted into the environment from various processes that have the potential to produce CO2 gas at the 1B ammonia plant, including utility units. The CO2 gas produced from the 1B ammonia plant is 2.22 tons. Part of the gas is used as raw material at the urea plant 1B and the residual CO2 gas emission is 0.92 tons of CO2/ton NH3.
3. Provide recommendations to reduce CO2 emissions emitted into the environment by using the coal gasification method to convert CO2 gas into CO, through the Boudouard reaction, which can be used as a raw material for the production of fuel and other chemical products. CO2 emissions can be reduced to 63.17% to 0.339 tons of CO2/ton NH3.
