Laboratory Analyst
PT Pertamina Lubricants • Magang
During my internship at PT Pertamina Lubricants Production Unit Jakarta (July 2024 – November 2024), I significantly contributed to optimizing technical processes and enhancing sustainability initiatives. My work included leading the calibration of 13 temperature and humidity sensor units, which greatly improved environmental monitoring accuracy by implementing precise corrections and integrating them into Arduino-based data logging systems that automated data transmission to Google Sheets. I also developed and executed a novel precipitation-based method for purifying used xylene from metal contaminants like Calcium and Magnesium. This project achieved remarkable results, reducing Calcium by 95.34% and Magnesium by 76%, demonstrating that the purified xylene performed comparably to analytical-grade solvents, thus supporting key sustainability goals. My responsibilities also encompassed conducting precise AAS analysis, ensuring strict safety protocols, and validating results through robust statistical evaluations. This hands-on experience deepened my practical skills in sensor calibration, analytical chemistry, sustainability principles, IoT systems (Arduino), AAS instrumentation, and various ASTM standard testing methods for lubrication oils, while enhancing my ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate technical findings effectively
