structural design, and hydrostatics.
• Assisted in reviewing and evaluating over 80 student assignments and design projects, ensuring accuracy in calculations and compliance with basic
naval architecture principles.
• Supported students in understanding key ship design components, including stability analysis, resistance estimation, and propulsion requirements.
• Conducted 1–2 academic support sessions per week to guide students in solving design problems and understanding ship design standards.

readiness, and crew management. Its primary goal is to ensure all vessels operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with international maritime
regulations such as SOLAS, ISM Code, and MARPOL.
• Manage the daily operations of the fleet, including voyage schedules, routing, cargo, and loading activities.
• Ensure technical reliability of vessels through routine maintenance and inspection planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental protection regulations.
• Monitor and manage crew performance, including rotations, training, and certification tracking.
• Coordinate with other departments such as technical, HSSE, and commercial to support smooth operations.
• Handle incident reporting and follow up on corrective actions from inspections or audits.
• Support the procurement process of spare parts, fuel, and logistics necessary for vessel operations.

The Designated Person Ashore (DPA) acts as the vital link between the company and vessels, ensuring that the Safety Management System (SMS) is
properly implemented and maintained onboard. The DPA is responsible for monitoring the safety and pollution prevention aspects of the operation of each
ship and has direct access to the highest level of management.
• Ensure the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS) onboard all vessels.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between shore management and shipboard personnel regarding safety and compliance issues.
• Monitor the safe operation of vessels and ensure that adequate resources and shore-based support are available.
• Conduct internal audits, inspections, and follow-ups to verify SMS compliance.
• Report non-conformities, accidents, or hazardous situations and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of maritime safety regulations (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code).
• Provide training, guidance, and safety awareness to both shipboard and shore-based staff. Liaise with flag states, port authorities, classification
societies, and other regulatory bodies when necessary.
