Beasiswa Unggulan adalah program pemerintah dari Kemendikbudristek untuk mendukung putra-putri berprestasi melanjutkan studi S1–S3, dengan seleksi ketat berdasarkan prestasi, esai, dan potensi kepemimpinan. Pada tahun 2021, jumlah pendaftar mencapai sekitar 100.000 orang, meningkat dari 85.000 tahun sebelumnya, dan hanya sekitar 2.000 peserta yang lolos ke tahap wawancara. Saya yang berhasil menjadi awardee, terpilih dari puluhan ribu pendaftar berdasarkan kombinasi prestasi akademik/non-akademik serta esai yang kuat.
