This study applies the Steepest Descent method to the Markowitz Mean-Variance Optimization model to optimize the sharia investment portfolio for 5 companies listed on the IDX-MES BUMN17 index from December 2022 to May 2023. The results obtained an optimal allocation that can minimized investment risk to 0.004% while achieving a return of 0.02%.
