I am a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) with a student mobility experience at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. I have hands-on internship experiences at PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan, PT Semen Indonesia, and IIOTSME Sdn Bhd, where I worked on system optimization, equipment analysis, and IoT-based solutions. I’ve also contributed to various engineering projects, such as wave power generators, plastic waste processors, and automatic sorting tools. Proficient in CAD software and simulations like SolidWorks, Inventor, and Ansys Fluent, I’m passionate about manufacturing, energy systems, and sustainable design. I’ve been a teaching assistant and grader in engineering courses and served as Vice Chairman of LKKI Ash-Shaff. These roles have shaped me into a hardworking, adaptive, and team-oriented individual. Through Magenta Internship, I aim to apply my technical knowledge, collaborate in impactful projects, and grow professionally in a challenging, real-world engineering environment.

Surface Analysis and Implementation Engineer Intern

During my internship at PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan, I was assigned to review the line sizing of the discharge pipe on Condensate Pump CVC A13. I studied both surface and sub-surface facilities and familiarized myself with PRIME SFO SAI tools to support the case analysis. I successfully completed a case study aimed at reducing pressure drop along a 10,409-meter pipeline with a 6,000 BFPD flowrate—from 117.52 psig to 110.52 psig—by modifying the layout using a 6-inch pipe for 220 meters and replacing 220 meters of 4-inch pipe. This adjustment aligned with the best efficiency point of the Goulds 3700 (2x3-9) pump. Additionally, I conducted another case study that optimized the pipeline to support an increased flowrate up to 10,000 BFPD. This was achieved by incorporating 2,804 meters of 8-inch pipe and 7,605 meters of 6-inch pipe, maintaining an optimal pressure drop of 110.52 psig. These calculations helped enhance system efficiency while ensuring reliable pump operation.

At PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, I was assigned to analyze faults in the tension rod of the Atox Mill at Tuban 1 Plant. I gained hands-on exposure to the entire cement production process, including crusher, raw mill, kiln & coal mill, finish mill, and packer units. I conducted inspections and maintenance of both rotary and static equipment while observing real-time plant operations from the Central Control Room (CCR). My primary task involved redesigning and analyzing the causes of repeated tension rod damage using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). This systematic evaluation provided recommendations for design improvement and maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability and prevent future breakdowns.

Through process evaluation and redesign, I successfully optimized production—reducing total production time by 30% and increasing output by 20%. The final products underwent rigorous pressure and bending tests, resulting in a 95% compliance rate with SNI standards. This internship strengthened my skills in applied mechanics, process engineering, and product validation within sustainable manufacturing.
