Ecology and Evolution of SEAsian Ladybird Beetles Project • Part Time
As a Research Assistant in the Ecology and Evolution of Southeast Asian Ladybird Beetles project, a collaborative initiative between the Wellcome Sanger Institute, University of Cambridge, and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), I am responsible for managing the care and maintenance of beetles and their host plants. My tasks include conducting controlled crosses of beetles to study their genetics and behavior, as well as performing various behavioral experiments to understand their ecological roles. Additionally, I assist with field research, which involves collecting specimens, GPS data, and other environmental metadata. This role requires proficiency in insect rearing, data collection, and both field and laboratory work, along with the ability to analyze experimental results to contribute to the project's research objectives.
