PT Mandiri Capital Indonesia (MCI) is the corporate venture capital arm of Bank Mandiri, focusing on investing in and supporting innovative startups across various sectors. We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented interns to join our team on a market research project that will support our investment and strategic initiatives.

Job Description
As an Industry Research Intern, you will play a key role in gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing information about specific industries and market trends relevant to venture capital and startup ecosystems. You will collaborate with the investment and strategy team to produce actionable insights that help guide MCI’s business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct industry research across assigned sectors (e.g., fintech, healthtech, agritech, etc.).
• Gather and analyze market data from primary and secondary sources.
• Benchmark startups, competitors, and business models.
• Prepare research reports, presentations, and executive summaries.
• Provide insights on emerging technologies, regulations, and market dynamics.
• Support the investment team with ad-hoc analysis as required.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or graduate student in Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Industrial Engineering or other related fields.
• Strong interest in venture capital, startups, and innovation-driven industries.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of research databases is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive learning attitude.
