Directly involved in a project on silica extraction from ferronickel slag. My role includes conducting hydrothermal processes on ferronickel slag samples using H2SO4, followed by washing, and then proceeding with roasting or alkali fusion processes with NaOH as an additive. Subsequently, the leaching process is carried out using water leaching.

As a project officer, I am tasked with leading and coordinating 137 committee members to work together effectively for the 18th Metallurgy and Materials Week (MnMs' Week). This annual event is organized by the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, University of Indonesia. This year, we have chosen the theme "Sustainability in the Downstream of Mineral Resources Processing Industry" for national discussion, involving students, professors, researchers, industry practitioners, professionals, and the general public. The event will consist of a series of activities, including the Case Study Competition, Student Innovation Forum, and MnMs' Summit, comprising a National Seminar and MnMs' Dialogue.

Observing and learning firsthand the process of nickel processing at PT. Vale Indonesia, starting from nickel ore until producing nickel matte with a purity of 78%. The process begins with rotary dryer, reduction kiln, smelting in a furnace, converting, granulation, and packaging.

I have been assigned a specific task in the converter section to determine the appropriate aeration standard and diesel mass flow for the heating up process in PT. Vale Indonesia's converter. I used computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation on ANSYS software to observe the final temperature on the converter wall during the heating up process. This enabled me to determine the correct percentage of aeration and diesel required to heat the converter to 1200 degrees Celsius before the converting operation.
