I was involved in analyzing production issues related to the UGL 50 FT train underframe structure. I conducted an in-depth study on the effects of flame straightening on the hardness and toughness at the joint between the container outrigger and the center sill. My responsibilities included identifying the root causes of defects, especially those linked to heat treatment processes, and proposing corrective actions to enhance production quality. I also performed comprehensive quality inspections to ensure that all components met regulatory standards and supported the delivery of high-quality railway products. This experience strengthened my analytical skills and deepened my understanding of metallurgical processes in heavy industry manufacturing.

I led a team of 9 assistants in conducting multiple offline practicums each month. I served as a teaching assistant for over 150 students, delivering hands-on training in 3D design using SolidWorks, sand mold creation, and aluminum casting. I also took part in a specialized SolidWorks training workshop hosted by Neosia, a leading engineering software training provider in Indonesia. Additionally, I coordinated a comparative study with students from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) to exchange ideas and strategies for laboratory improvement. My role involved detailed planning using project management tools like Gantt charts and Microsoft Office applications, which sharpened my skills in leadership, technical instruction, and process optimization within an academic laboratory environment.

As the Project Leader of Todung FT UI Cup 2022, a national football competition organized by BEM FT UI, I successfully led the planning and execution of the first inter-university engineering football tournament in Indonesia. The event attracted over 200 participants from various engineering faculties nationwide. In addition to the main tournament, I coordinated internal sports and esports competitions involving more than 100 students, aimed at fostering student engagement and talent development. I also initiated and managed a charity soccer match, raising funds to support Kukusan Soccer School in Depok, West Java. Leading a team of over 100 staff across 7 divisions, I applied project management strategies to ensure all activities were carried out smoothly and aligned with our objectives. This experience significantly enhanced my leadership, organizational, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Additionally, I developed and implemented a partnership strategy involving both internal and external parties across Indonesia to broaden knowledge and exposure to advancements in the nanomaterials sector.

My efforts focused on positioning the institution as a hub for students interested in nanomaterial science, which contributed to a significant growth of 1,200+ new Instagram followers, effectively enhancing the organization’s visibility and engagement within the academic community.

I was actively involved in scouting and developing student-athletes by organizing sports competitions open to all students within the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. One of my key achievements was successfully executing the Teknik Online Cup, the largest esports tournament in the faculty, which engaged over 500 players from 8 departments. I also led initiatives to recognize and appreciate outstanding athletes, fostering a strong sports culture within the faculty.

Protecting the World: Introducing Corrosion Science and Engineering

Engineering Project Management Specialization

Climate Change: Carbon Capture and Storage

I gained in depth technical knowledge of carbon dioxide separation methods, geological storage, and post combustion capture technologies such as amine scrubbing. I explored gas flow thermodynamics and injection well design for deep brine aquifers. The most impactful part was calculating the capture cost per ton and seeing how engineering innovations drive feasibility. The course aligned very well with my desire to reduce emissions in industrial operations especially in mineral processing and nickel refining where energy intensity is high.
