During my internship in the oil and gas industry, I conducted hydraulic simulations of water injection plants using PipeSim to support field development planning. My work involved designing and modeling pipeline networks, integrating pumps, valves, and other system components, as well as performing detailed analyses of pressure drop, flow rate, and system capacity to optimize injection performance. I evaluated various operational scenarios, recommended adjustments to improve efficiency and reliability, and documented the simulation methodologies. Additionally, I prepared comprehensive technical reports to communicate results and insights to the engineering team for decision-making.
