This research was my final project, focusing on assessing the health risks faced by waste pickers due to exposure to SO2 and NO2 gases generated from the decomposition of waste at landfill sites. The findings revealed respiratory health risks, which can serve as a basis for stakeholders to implement effective risk management strategies.

2nd Place in the National Wonigiri Student Festival Essay Competition

In this competition, I presented an essay about a natural contraceptive for men made from papaya seed extract. The contraceptive is in the form of a sweet-tasting pill, making it easy to consume. This idea was inspired by the low participation of men in contraceptive use, which is often due to misinformation, fears about contraceptives affecting productivity, and the underutilization of papaya, a fruit that grows abundantly but is not yet optimally used.

In this competition, I presented an essay on utilizing cassava peel waste to create face masks as a preventive measure during the Covid-19 pandemic. At that time, the price of masks had increased significantly and they were very difficult to obtain.
