In this certification, my team was given the "TPOM OER Improvement Project" project where we had to provide a solution to renew the OER (Oil Extraction Rate) level in order to get CPO (Crude Palm Oil) with good quality. Our team started by implementing the "DMAIC" (Define - Measure - Analyze - Improve - Control) method that had been taught before the project started. We started by interviewing the worker at TPOM regarding problems that arose from FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunch) coming to the refinery until the cooking process ended. We analyze these problems using SigmaXL, then our team will brainstorm about what solutions we can provide to TPOM. At the end of the project, my team and I presented the results of our project and ended with a discussion regarding the solutions we had provided.
